We all want to edit our photos faster.  Perhaps you are tired of spending 5 minutes (or more) per photo in Photoshop or maybe you are fumbling your way through Lightroom and you know there has to be a better way…

At any rate – I have yet to meet someone who isn’t looking to improve their editing speed, and that’s how it should be.  There is nothing wrong with a desire of constant improvement.

It’s no secret that I’ve developed a workflow process in Lightroom to get my photo editing time down to as little as 20 minutes for a engagement or portrait session and 4 or 5 hours per all day wedding, in fact, I have the videos to prove it here.

“If you are looking to speed up your workflow, you have to realize that the key is in the process, and the tools.”

Top Quality Lightroom Presets.

That’s my secret weapon…and the major time saver.

Automation is OK

Most photographers understand the value in presets, but some do not.

Do they feel it is cheating?
Are you not an artist any longer if you use presets?

I think not…

You see, regardless of what type of business you are in, if there is a series of steps that you perform over and over in the same manner it only makes sense to try and automate, and shorten that set of steps, common sense right?

Presets are no different.  Presets aren’t meant to strip away any of your creativity or artistic vision, they are meant to automate any number of adjustments you’d perform over and over on image after image – and that’s a good thing.  Automation is OK!

The One-Two Punch

If I didn’t take control of my editing in Lightroom to focus on constant improvement Cole’s Classroom wouldn’t be here.  I simply wouldn’t have the time since I’ve launched and still (for another month!) operate Cole’s Classroom alongside my full time “day-job” AND our successful wedding photography studio.

…and I want the same for you.

I want you to improve so you’ll have more time.  More time with your family, more time with your friends, more capacity to take on new photo shoots!

The Process – with my Import to Export Lightroom Workflow training my process is revealed and it’s yours for the taking.  Take the guesswork out by knowing the exact settings I use, and Lightroom automation tricks.

The Tools – If you have already created presets that you love then perfect you are all set.  But if you find that the presets you’re using are causing you to have more clicks than necessary take a look at my premium preset collections.  Quite honestly, they are the only presets I use and have been fine tuned through hundreds of thousands of images to give the best results with the least amount of effort.

Focus on the one-two punch by having the right process & tools in place and you’ll be off to a good start.

Sometimes the hardest part is not knowing the right questions to ask – that’s where I can help…
